Hi, I am Pushkar (पुष्कर, IPA: /ˈpʊʃkər/ ) — My name in Sanskrit means blue lotus, and also refers to a sacred lake in Rajasthan. I go by the alias thepushkarp on most places online.

a bit about me

Cat looking at the camera

I am a Machine Learning Engineer working with inference engineering, kernels, agentic workflows, and post-training.

Right now I'm trying to get really good at the fundamental and seminal research in the field, and to dive deeper into the rabbit holes that pull me in.

Agentic systems are a big part of my workflow. I use coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode all the time — for research, for automating the boring stuff, for planning, writing code, reviewing, and testing. I love maxing out the tokens and trying to increase my productivity multi-fold.

I used to write Nibble with Aashutosh. It was a tech newsletter talking about what happened in tech in the past week, and we published it every week for 100 weeks straight.

Outside of work, I like to run. You can find most of my activities on Strava.

I also like to read, and log what I read on Goodreads.

And I'm slightly obsessed with etymologies — and maybe through serendipity you will find them cool too.

this site

This site is a place to keep my writings, projects, and the things I feel I should document and share. Over time, I hope to have built a collection of cool stuff that I have learned from, and which I can look back to and be proud of.

If you want to chat, build an interesting project together, or just want to share something really cool, feel free to hit me a DM on Twitter or mail me at my email(click to reveal). I am open to project collaborations, part-time gigs, and full-time roles in inference engineering and model optimizations.

Go over to the projects page to see some of the stuff I have worked on and to blog to read my writings.

If you have something to discuss over (virtual) coffee, you can also book a meeting from here.

Alternatively, if you like my work and want to sponsor a coffee, just smash the button below hehe:
